PBS is Saved! (Unfortunately, I have to think of new ideas for bizarre cartoons.)

Well, it's about damn time we had some good news out of Congress. Looks like all those internet petitions and phone-your-congressman pleas actually did something.

The House voted to restore the $100m they originally were going to cut from Public Broadcasting budgets. According to CNN, "Lawmakers were flooded with letters and phone calls." Including a moveon.org petition signed by ME and a shit-ton of other people thanks to word-spreading from me and Sandy and the dailykos and Nat over at covblogs. Good work, everybody!

Looks like no more Sesame Street cartoons for me. I'm sure I'll think of something else...
