HEY! It's Time to Move Away and Shine
I've been waiting for this day since, like, March or something.
Tim DeLaughter, of Tripping Daisy and Polyphonic Spree fame, has released the soundtrack to THUMBSUCKER, the new film by Mike Mills due out at the end of the week in NY/LA. It is a fabulous album, featuring about 22 new Spree songs and a couple of Elliot Smith's as well (covering Big Star's "Thirteen" and Cat Stevens' "Trouble"). Basically, you just have to get it.
Hey, it's time
To move away and shine!
You can be all you ever want
In a dream.
You can take time along the way,
Let this music in your head.
You can be all you ever want
Inside a dream.
And if you take this time,
And you will move their minds,
You'll find it's all in a dream.
It's the only way
For you to be...
